Frontier up to task on debut

Joint favourites, Iron Major and Nowewont at 2/1 finished second last and last respectively in the Dandy Man Maiden as Austin Leahy's newcomer, Frontier Cabin proved up to the task.

Fran Berry (top jockey of the campaign with twelve winners) was at work on the chestnut daughter of Choisir at halfway but getting a run on the stand's rail in the final furlong she got up to deny Victor Totus by a short head.

Leahy, said of the three-year-old, owned by his wife Ellen: "She ran a bit green but she is lovely filly and she'll win again. I bought her private and she was expensive (tongue in cheek). Fran was good on her."
