Made In Germany got into gear late on to land the concluding bumper at Navan and give trainer Willie Mullins a treble on the card.

Patrick Mullins had the 9/10 favourite at the head of affairs throughout in the two-miler as he duelled for the lead with Kandinski

That rival looked to be winning the argument when travelling best in the lead at the two furlong marker.

Made In Germany stayed on stoutly inside the final furlong, however, to get up in the closing stages for a length success.

The winner was making his 'track' debut today having finished runner-up on his sole point-to-point start last April.

“He might go for a winners bumper, then hurdling next season, or could go for a maiden hurdle now then chasing next season,” revealed Mullins.

“He looks a chaser and hopefully he'll be better on better ground. He just gallops and it took him a long time for the penny to drop today.”
