Gigginstown House Stud are in no rush to nail down plans for the formidable team of novice chasers set to be in action at the Cheltenham Festival next week. Clarcam will represent the leading owners in the Arkle Trophy, renewing rivalry with red-hot favourite Un De Sceaux but how the team intend to split their aces in the staying events is less clear.

The Willie Mullins-trained Don Poli already a Grade One winner this season, tops ante-post lists for the four-mile National Hunt Chase on the opening day and the RSA Chase the following afternoon, with the champion trainer already stating his preference to run in the former.

However, Noel Meade's pair Very Wood and Wounded Warrior are also in the mix for Gigginstown in both races, while the presence of Valseur Lido also a top-level scorer for Mullins, in both the RSA and the shorter JLT Novices' Chase further muddies the waters.

Gigginstown Stud manager Eddie O'Leary said: "Nothing is decided. We just want to get the horses to Cheltenham first.

"We have a week to go , so we'll see."
