The Donal Kinsella trained The Gnathologist landed the Graun Hill Suite Handicap Hurdle at Tramore today under jockey Tommy Treacy.

The start of the race was untidy and a few of the riders, momentarily at least, seemed to be under the impression that a false start had been called while Whitehead Lad (under Andrew McNamara) was pulled up before the first flight.

After The Gnathologist's win, winning jockey Tommy Treacy said “he did it well and he was due a win. He is an honest little horse and it's good that he has finally got his day. He missed the last but that probably helped him because it gave him something to chase on the run-in.”

After the race Andrew McNamara was suspended by the Stewards for two days after he was found to be in breach of Rule 208 (e) aboard Whitehead Lad, that being he failed to take all reasonable measures to take part in the race when it had been started.
