Cathal Landers rode a popular local victor when Allez Kal scored on Thyestes Day at Gowran on Thursday and his success on Goaheadmakemyday in the Best Odds Guaranteed On Irish Racing At BetVictor Mares Handicap Hurdle in Down Royal was similarly well received.

Tom Foley 's daughter of King's Theatre was backed from 8/1 into 9/2 favourite and she put her stamp on things approaching the last for a two and three parts of length win over Reine Fee

They left Latoyah Of North nine and a half lengths back in third.

Foley was welcoming back his first winner at Down Royal and he exclaimed: "Happy!

"I tell you the biggest worry we had coming here was that she's not a good traveller - sweats up an awful lot. We have to travel always in a car and box, we can't put her in the lorry.

"It's my first winner here. I had very few runners here - I brought up Royal Paradise and things didn't go right and he bled. I brought good horses before and got beaten. That's the first one that I brought that everything turned out right.

"We are still there and still enjoying it!

"She wouldn't mind a bit nicer ground. She will probably go in foal and we will see what will happen."

Owner Michael O'Dowd is from Goresbridge.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Dawn Hoofer trained by Paul Nolan, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to have an over reach on its right fore leg and to be lame.

A. Ring, rider of Folly Dat trained by R. K. Watson, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount hung badly left throughout.

Owing to low-lying sun, the Stewards granted permission for the second last (Hurdle 2) and third last (Hurdle 3) to be omitted from this race.
