The Galway races get under way today with a seven race Flat card beginning at 4.10pm.
Following some showers yesterday evening amounting to 5mm, the going has eased to good to yielding (Flat) while the description for National Hunt horses later in the week remains good.
Selective watering will continue on the chase course.
Further showers are forecast with 3mm (approx.) today & 4-5mm (approx.) on Wednesday.
The Connacht Hotel Handicap for amateur riders is the feature race on day one with an off time of 6.15pm.
