The in-form Jessica Harrington completed a very quick across-the-double when Tom Madden guided Tauran Shaman to a debut success in the mile maiden for three year olds and upwards at Killarney.

Despite running green, the Shamardal colt mastered the front-running Time Tunnel under Frankie Dettori inside the final furlong to score by half-a-length, with Prisoner’s Dilemma a further three and a half lengths back in third.

The nicely-bred winner cost 100,000 Euros as a yearling and is another nice prospect for the yard, which just minutes earlier had taken the second on the card at Fairyhouse with Nope

The winning rider reported afterwards: "he has been doing things right at home, his work had been good and he had to start somewhere.

"He was plenty green and raw and is still a big baby and it took me ages to get him into a rhythm and go get him balanced and doing things right.

"He kept picking up the whole way and he was good at the business end. Hopefully he can progress and hopefully there could be nice things to come for him.

"It was grand to beat Frankie in a finish but I know I spoiled the party a bit!"
