Adrian Heskin, fresh from Cheltenham success on A New Story, landed the feature event at Down Royal when One Cool Cookie took the Guiness Chase.
It was a first outside ride for the 17-year-old, who is attached to Michael Hourigan's yard.
The promising claimer had his mount handy throughout and inherited the lead when 11/10 favourite Air Force One crashed out at the fifth last. Selection Box emerged as a threat in the straight but Charlie Swan's charge asserted before the last to record a four-and-a-half length success.
"Today was my first outside ride and he jumped like a buck. I was still travelling well when the other horse fell," said Heskin
