Jockey Conor Hoban completed a double at Dundalk this evening as the jockey landed the concluding Crowne Plaza Leading Jockey&Trainer Handicap (div 2) on the Pat Flynn trained even money favourite Rips Dream

The three year old son of Rip Van Winkle found form at the Co Louth venue in September when finishing second from a rating of 40 and having won here in October, gained a second career success today when routing his rivals and easily beating runner-up Noble Intention

The win was Hoban's fourth winner of the Winter Series at Dundalk, having earlier won on Footsteps At Dawn and the rider is currently second behind leader Shane Crosse, with seven wins, in the Jockeys Championship.

Hoban later commented “that was great. I felt we were in the weaker of the two divisions and on his run the last day he was entitled to go very close. We bumped into one of Joseph's (O'Brien) and I'd say it's well handicapped.

“He got lonely the last day and we were able to get a lead today.

“Pat (Flynn) and the lads have done a great job keeping him sweet and on the back of that you'd be hopeful he'd win another one.

“He's versatile from a mile-and-a-quarter to a mile-and-a-half.”
