Having won the fifth with Outspoken Aidan O'Brien doubled-up in the last, the Bar One Racing Dual Race Day 16th August Maiden, as Hobart ran out an easy winner.

Ridden by Joseph O'Brien the son of Galileo was sent off the 10/11 favourite.

A beaten favourite on his last two starts he was fitted with blinkers for the first time today as he stepped up in trip to a mile and a half.

Settled in second he improved to lead over two furlongs out and he kept on well from there to score easily by eleven lengths. Captain Carleton finished second at 13/8 (10/3 in the morning and from 2's on-course)under Fran Berry for Cormac Farrell.

Joseph O'Brien said afterwards: "It looked a fairly winnable race beforehand. They went a good gallop and the distance was probably exaggerated. He probably ran near enough to his mark.

"The blinkers woke him up a bit. He was just backing off the bridle a bit before but the step up in trip also helped. It was good to get a win with him."
