Youcantcallherthat repelled the late challenge of Dinaria Des Obeaux to land the featured Charleville Cheese EBF Mares Novice Chase at Limerick this afternoon.

Denis Hogan made all the running on the 5/1 shot and she got the hotpot at work after the second last in the Grade 2 contest.

The Brian Boru mare kept on gamely on the run-in as the 4/6 favourite closed her down to the line to get within half a length.

Youcantcallherthat was a good winner over three miles at Thurles last time having finished behind Dinaria Des Obeaux on their previous two meetings.

"She is a class mare and is improving all the time. She showed a change of gear today that I didn't think she'd have and I thought she'd be swallowed up by Jack's horse,” said Hogan.

"It's great because this mare couldn't win a hurdle last year having won a point to point and we nearly sold her for small money and now she's repaying the boys.

"She is a real staying type and you'd imagine next year she'll hold her own in the big handicaps.

"That's my first Graded win as both a trainer and jockey although I've had plenty of big handicap wins and have won a Listed race on the flat.

"It's my biggest win and I'm 30 now, so it only took me 15 years - I'm only now learning the ropes!"
