"She did it well. On her day she jumps and travels well. Today out of 14 it was always going to be a little hard so we said we'd go forward and take a chance," revealed Billy Lee after landing race five at Dundalk, the LMFM Family Fun Day May 6th Handicap, aboard 16/1 chance Honor Oak
The grey daughter of Zebedee is obviously versatile as she scored on yielding to soft ground in the past, but here she secured win number three at Dundalk, by two and a half lengths from Midnitemudcrabs
She won over an extended mile and a quarter before, but she had the pace to get the job done over seven furlongs on this occasion for owner John Doran and trainer Tom Hogan.
"She jumped and travelled all the way. I got there going easy but she always just has one short run so I was trying to hold on to her as long as I could. She won well at the line," further explained Lee.
"Tom will probably try to aim her at one of those big fillies' handicaps during the year off a low weight.
"She's well able to contest them and on her day she'd have a chance."
K.J. Manning, rider of Fashaar (GB), trained by Anthony McCann, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount had his head down and stumbled when the gates opened, thereby losing ground and position.
C.D. Hayes, rider of Tynamite trained by P.F.McEnery, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount jumped to the left on leaving the stalls.
