Hostile Fire powered clear in the closing stages to take the concluding amateur event at Bellewstown in good style under Nina Carberry.

Gordon Elliott 's charge cut out the early running in the mile-and-a-half event before Zero Euro took over at halfway.

7/4 favourite Hostile Fire reclaimed his lead over a furlong from home and kept on strongly in the closing stages to record a seven-length win.

The winner had finished runner-up over fences on his last start when travelling over to Perth.

Nina Carberry said:- "He was a bit fresh early and I didn't really want to make it. He's done it well and is probably a class above them on that ground."
