ITV to broadcast 21 races next week


With racing set to resume in the UK on Monday June 1 ITV Racing will broadcast 21 races in the opening week.

The last time there was live racing on ITV was when the channel covered the behind closed doors meeting at Thurles on March 21.

The free to air channel will broadcast live coverage on Friday, Saturday and Sunday which will include both English 1000 and 2000 Guineas as well as the Coronation Stakes which has been re-routed from Epsom.

Seven live races will be aired each day and as well as four feature races a day from Newmarket there will be three races from Lingfield on Friday, three from Newcastle on Saturday and three more from Haydock on Sunday.
