Michael Halford warmed up for Casamento's bid to win the Racing Post Trophy tomorrow at Doncaster by watching his Invincible Ash take the spoils in the Mercury listed stakes at Dundalk over five furlongs at odds of 13/2.
Halford heaped praise on his mare. He said: "She is a terrific servant and is amazingly consistent and has had a wonderful season. She ran well in this race two years ago.
"She loves the fast ground in the summer and we gave her a break after that. We'll consider going to Dubai as she will love the sun on her back and the ground. Gary (Carroll) gave her a great ride."
Invincible Ash won by three parts of a length over English raider Hitchens Luisant was a neck further back in third.
