Judgement Day was game off the front in the Noel O'Brien Memorial Novice Hurdle at Kilbeggan. Lethal Steps and Galilean had whittled down his clear advantage as they challenged him at the last.

It was at this flight that the 9/4 favourite looked to have thrown away any chance of winning as he made a mistake.

Lethal Steps jumped slightly left as Galilean claimed Judgement Day upon landing.

However, Judgement Day picked up in the final 150 yards to edge ahead and increased the lead to a length at the line for Henry de Bromhead..

Runner-up Galilean went off at 11/4 for Joseph O'Brien and Jody McGarvey.

“He did it well. It was a first run back and he was good and hardy at the finish — he finds for you,” Hugh Morgan said.

“Thank you very much to Gigginstown for the opportunity. It was brilliant.

“Hopefully I can keep the ball rolling now and hopefully that can keep things going.”

Morgan came in for the ride due to Rachael Blackmore's fall in Clonmel yesterday.
