Jack Naylor got a deserved win to her name as he took the feature at Gowran, the Group 3 Denny Cordell Lavarack & Lanwades Stud Fillies Stakes, under Fran Berry for Jessica Harrington.

A winner of three races last season the daughter of Champs Elysees performed with credit on her last five starts, all of which were in Group 1 company.

Dropping in class and trip today she was sent off the even money favourite in the colours of owner Gerard Byrne.

Settled on the outer in third she improved to lead early in the straight and was ridden to extend her advantage from the two furlong pole.

She kept on well under pressure inside the final furlong and came home a length and three parts to the good. Easter (9/2) finished second under Seamie Heffernan for Aidan O'Brien while Outstanding (12/1) was a further three parts of a length back in third under Emmet McNamara also for O'Brien.

Jessica Harrington said afterwards: "It's great to get her head in front again. She found plenty.

"We were bringing here back well short of her trip."

"She got a bit outpaced and when she hits the front she doesn't do a whole lot."
