The John Kiely trained Joanne One produced a burst of speed close home to take the Listed ITBA Fillies Scheme EBF INH Flat Race under Colm Motherway.

The 4yo daughter of Vinnie Roe had just one run to her name before today, that coming at Cork earlier this month where she kept on well close home to finish just a length and three parts second to Que Pasa

Sent off at 7/1 this afternoon she was held up towards rear in the early stages before making headway from four furlongs out.

She went fifth two furlongs out and was soon ridden. She responded well to pressure and was second a furlong and a half from home before hitting the front soon after and staying on well from there to score by four lengths at the line.

The Noel Meade trained 3/1 shot Fickle Fortune had to settle for second under Nina Carberry while Que Pasa was a further three and three parts of a length back in third under Pa King for David Harry Kelly at 14/1. Honey Bach who opened at 13/2 overnight with Paddy Powers, was backed on-course from 7/2 into 5/2 favourite but she could only manage fourth under Patrick Mullins for Brian Hamilton.

John Kiely said afterwards: "It's hard to beat pedigree. She is from the family of Aries Girl (eight time winner in the nineties for Pat Flynn).

"She was unlucky at Mallow. It wasn’t her jockey’s fault. They just went for a gap and didn’t get it.

"She is owned by a neighbour of mine, Gerard Burke. He always seems to have a few nice horses. He had the likes of Snap Tie in the past."
