John Kiely will see how Carlingford Lough recovers from his Grand National exploits before deciding whether to let him line up in the Coral Punchestown Gold Cup

The veteran won the Punchestown feature in 2016 and negotiated each of the Aintree obstacles before being pulled up on the run-in at the weekend.

His trainer said: "He finished very tired but jumped every fence. I was very pleased with him and we'll hold off for a week now before deciding about Punchestown."
