"Charles (O'Brien, winning trainer) said to try and not rush him early on, that he may not stay. I got no feel off him in the first mile of the race and was going nowhere. He latched on then and I got there in plenty of time. He did it well in the end," reported Tom Madden after winning race six at Dundalk on Leaderboard
Leaderboard was a 10/1 chance for this Dundalk Stadium On Facebook Apprentice Handicap but he upstaged one of the market-leaders, Park Row in the closing stages for a three parts of a length win.
Favourite Uncle Henry could manage no better than fourth.
"He's in the sales and I'd say he'll make a few quid," further revealed Madden in the aftermath.
