Louise Royale turned the Killarney Tower Hotel Maiden over two miles one into a procession with an emphatic victory for Tom Cooper and Jonathan Burke.

The five-year-old mare was making her seasonal reappearance after 192 days off-track, but she wasn't found wanting in the fitness department.

She took up the lead with a circuit to go and coming to the sixth flight she had put daylight between herself and Hes Our Robin in second.

As she raced towards four out the advantage had increased to over 10 lengths. Beau Et Sublime and Round Tower cut into the lead as they pursued her on the run to three out.

However they both came off the bridle at that flight. At the penultimate obstacle Beau Et Sublime unseated Bryan Cooper. Louise Royale negotiated the last well clear of Round Tower and was eased down to win by eight and a half lengths at 4/1.

Round Tower, a 3/1 joint favourite, took second ahead of the other 3/1 joint favourite Little Rocky

"She had a good run behind Morning Run last season but then chipped a knee," Tom Cooper said.

"She has turned inside out since and will have no problem staying further. She'll be better on better ground and that's only summer soft."
