Shattered Love s 5/1 success (from 8s) made it three for Gigginstown House Stud and two for Gordon Elliott on the day at Naas, as Luke McGuinness registered his second career winner on the daughter of Yeats in the concluding Tipper Road Mares (Pro/Am) Flat Race.

It's about a year since Shattered Love made her only previous appearance in public, winning a Lemonfield point-to-point for Pat Doyle.

Here the half-sister to Make A Track travelled smoothly and she reeled in Freeway Space in the last 150 yards for a three and a half length win.

Favourite Good Thyne Tara didn't get a trouble free passage in the straight and she ended up a further length and a half back in third.

Gigginstown's earlier winners were Sub Lieutenant (Sandra Hughes/David Mullins) and A Genie In Abottle (Noel Meade/Bryan Cooper).

Elliott had won the first with the J P McManus-owned and Barry Geraghty-ridden Sutton Place

"She's a nice filly. I wasn't going to run her for another month as she's weak and had not done a lot," commented Elliott.

"The rider deserves plenty of credit as well. Luke is only 16 and is a nephew of Ado McGuinness. He's been riding out for us the last six months, and is another good young lad that we have found."

The Stewards enquired into an incident in the straight involving Good Thyne Tara (GB), ridden by Mr E. Monfort, placed second, Peace N' Milan ridden by Mr J.E. Flynn, placed fifth and Shattered Love, ridden by Mr L.J. McGuinness, placed first.

Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that Mr.L.J. McGuinness was in breach of Rule 214, in that he rode carelessly and having considered his record, suspended him for four race days.
