"He did it well. I thought turning in he was plenty confident but Colin said he was going to do that," said Tom McCourt after Colin Keane gave his favorite, Manorov a confident steer to land split one of the www.dundalkstadium.com Handicap.

On Keane's only mount of the night, he brought the course winner through travelling well from off the pace towards the inner in the straight. In the end Manorov prevailed by a length and a half from Papabili

"He thought he got there too soon the last day and he still ended up there sooner than he wanted tonight," added McCourt.

"I was half thinking of going a mile-and-a-quarter with him but Colin said 'no stay at a mile.'

"He likes it around here and loves that surface.

"He wants top of the ground but has a bit of a knee action so I was afraid to risk him over jumps. We'll see how we get on this winter and we might have a look at it next summer."

The Stewards enquired into an incident after the turn into the straight involving Our Manekineko (GB), ridden by L.F. Roche, placed fifth, Skerray Rules ridden by C.P. Hoban, placed third and The Butche's Filly ridden by P.B. Beggy, placed fourth.

Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards advised C.P.Hoban to ride with more care in future.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined War Room trained by S.M.Duffy, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be clinically abnormal post race.
