Trainer Wille McCreery registered his 29th winner of the season, his joint-top tally, at Fairyhouse today when landing the Big Picture Communications Maiden with the Bill Lee partnered Thiswaycadeaux

Lee, riding his 52nd winner this season and his 23rd for McCreery this term, produced the daughter of Thewayyuare from off the pace before eventually scoring a half length success over Massa Lubrense

McCreery, who has now sent out exactly 29 winners on each of the last three seasons, was absent but afterwards Lee stated “she jumped a bit slow and it took me a little time to get into the race. The six (furlongs) would be on the short side for her, and I was a bit worried about the ground but she handled it well.

"The race sort of fell apart a bit a furlong out and she kept galloping and was only getting stronger as she went to the line. It’s nice to get a win out of her and hopefully she will step into handicaps and be alright for next year.”
