Conditional jockey Jonathan Moore has been appointed stable jockey to trainer Rebecca Curtis in Britain.

The news follows the pair's Grade A winning handicap chase win with Irish Cavalier at the Punchestown festival and was further helped by Going For Broke's win at Worcester yesterday.

Moore today stated “I'm going to be over in Britain riding a good bit for Rebecca. She approached me after Punchestown where I won on her Irish Cavalier and I'm going to be over here riding for her as much as I can.

“There are still a lot of things to be sorted out and I'm still in Ireland at the moment and talking it through but maybe for the winter I'll be in Britain full-time; we'll see how it pans out over the summer.

“It is a very ambitious stable and Rebecca and Gearoid (Costello, partner) are making the team better and stronger the whole time. I know I'm still only a 5lbs claimer but they've said if it's graded races it doesn't matter (about the claim) and that I'll ride them all.

“It's a great opportunity — I'm 22 now and it was a very hard one turn down.

“I'm going to have to learn all the tracks and get a feel of their horses and when then come in and work them.”
