Owner of the 2006 Grand National hero, Numbersixvalverde, Bernard Carroll, was on the mark earlier with Giant's Quest at Dundalk. Numbersixvalverde's trainer, John Brassil also got his name amongst the winners on the 12th, with Much Wants More winning the finale at Tipperary, the Liambuckleycarsales.com Maiden Hurdle.

Mark Walsh donned the silks of former trainer, Jeremy Harley, on the Exit To Nowhere gelding, and the 9/1 shot got the better of front-running second favourite Dun Scaith by a comfortable four lengths.

The third spot was taken by another Curragh trained horse, Mark Roper's 100/1 'rag,' Six Books

Harley also bred Much Wants More and he was supported in from 12/1 to 9/1 on track.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that Fredsmemory trained by F.G. Hand was found to have burst a blood vessel.
