Patrick Mullins picked up a winning spare ride in the bumper at Limerick (Roger Quinlan was due to ride), the Racing Again Tomorrow INH Flat Race, as he partnered the Pat Doyle trained newcomer Babbling Stream to victory.

Sent off a 13/2 chance the son of Authorized chased the leaders throughout and ran wide off the bend passed the stands after Bridgetconnory acted up.

He improved into the second before the straight and hit the front a furlong and a half out, keeping on well under pressure to beat Kalopsia (6/4fav) and Sarah O'Brien by two and a half lengths.

The front duo went fourteen lengths clear of Minella Charmer (11/4) who finished third under James 'Corky' Carroll for John Nallen.

Patrick Mullins said afterwards: "He's a very nice horse and showed a lot of maturity to get back on an even keel after the other horse baulked (passing the stands).

"He's very tough and picked up nicely when the other horse (runner-up Kalopsia) came to him, he'll win plenty races."

STEWARDS REPORT

The Stewards fined James Daniel Dullea, trainer, €350 for lodging a passport in respect of Tikkanen Express in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91.

The Stewards allowed the horse to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the vaccinations were in order.
