Musselburgh's meeting on Friday is now subject to an 8am precautionary inspection on raceday morning.
Clerk of the course Harriet Graham had intended to inspect the track at 3pm today, but an inch of snow which fell earlier in the week has now melted.
Musselburgh's team will instead assess conditions in the morning, but Graham warned of an "increasing risk of showers overnight, with temperatures dipping to about freezing".
The going is currently soft.
