Punters latched onto Robert Tyner’s Lemonfield winner A Hardy Nailer in the p2p.ie Mares Point-To-Point INH Flat Race, and it proved a profitable move as the 11/4 favourite ultimately won in good style.

Available at 4/1 this morning and 3/1 on track, Derek O’Connor sent the daughter of Flemensfirth to the front over a furlong out, and she stretched clear to score by four and a half lengths. Zipporah just got the better of Barnahash Rose for second place.

Tyner said, “She’s not too bad. The race went against her but we had a top man on board.

“She got very strong and became very free but Derek dropped her out and that was the winning of the race. She’ll be left off now and will come back to go hurdling.”
