Newgirlintown (10/1) won the Baroneracing.com Handicap (Div II) to give jockey Ross Coakley a 48/1 double after his earlier success on Afterglow

The winning filly, out of a mare that won five times for Ger O’Leary back in 2010, had won at Chelmsford in February and led a furlong out here before finding enough to hold Cache Queen by half a length.

The 4/1 favourite Self Assessed finished seventh.

Adrian Joyce, assistant to winning trainer Ger O’Leary, said: “She’s got a lot stronger since she last ran and she did that well. She’s still a bit green when she hits the front but is a tough, honest filly and travelled well.

“Things are going brilliant. We’ve a good yard of horses, good staff and a good boss so it’s great.

“She’s in again at Gowran (on Wednesday) so we might have a look at that.”
