"It's been a while coming. We felt he's been a different horse over the past month-and-a-half. His work has been very good and he's been much more relaxed," revealed Pat Martin after No Way Jack got the job done in the concluding Bulmers Live At Leopardstown Handicap.

Killian Leonard rode the 5/1 joint favourite (backed in from 12/1 on track and bigger earlier) and he got the better of Prosecution by a neck.

"He was to run in a ten furlong race a couple of weeks ago. It looked a weaker race than this but he may not have got ten furlongs in that ground," elaborated Martin.

"He's always shown us plenty. You could question his resolution but you'd have to say he did it today. He battled really well today and maybe he's just been unlucky a lot of times!

"It's great to get it. His owner (Derek Molloy) is in Aintree today."

R.P. Whelan, rider of Empress Lyla trained by Garvan Donnelly, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount stopped quickly.

A.J. Farragher, rider of Ahundrednotout (GB) trained by John James Feane, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his saddle slipped in running.
