Edward O’Grady’s horses continue in fine fettle and the former Champion Jumps Trainer sent out his fourth consecutive winner today, as his wife Maria’s Fair Game landed the Dan Bargary Appreciation Apprentice Handicap at Tipperary.

The daughter of Lawman was today losing her maiden status under jockey Killian Leonard, having been placed three times from ten previous starts.

O’Grady, whose winners Roconga, Prickly and Le Vagabond were his only representatives at last week’s Killarney festival, stated “my owner will be very pleased with a homebred winner! We had hoped it wouldn’t have taken as long but are grateful it has happened.

“I’ll see how she comes out of the race and she might run again next week at Gowran.

“Killian (Leonard) has been learning on me and I think he is a lovely lad who rides very well and I’m delighted to be able to help him.”
