Oscars turns on style

Oscars Well turned the maiden hurdle at Punchestown into a procession as he cruised to a nine-length victory under Robbie Power.

Jessica Harrington 's charge kicked for home turning into the straight and soon had matters in hands. Red Tiger won the race for second from Mackeys Forge but they had no chance with the stylish winner.

"He did it well and I'm thrilled as I knew he had improved a good lot from the first run. He's really coming to himself," said Harrington.

"I'll enter him for the Barry & Sandra Kelly Hurdle at Navan (Dec 12th) and I'd say we might head there.

"I'd say he's pretty smart. He loves heavy ground and appreciated the step up to 2m4f.

"He was unlucky not to win a bumper. He ran well first time but then got sick and I never got him back."
