Trainer John Joe Walsh rarely leaves Limerick over Christmas without a winner and registered his first in this year's Festival when his Page Turner made all to win the Irish Independent Beginners Chase, under amateur jockey Ambrose McCurtin.

The free going son of Bishop Of Cashel made all and while he benefited from the fall of favourite Abbey Lane at the sixth last, stayed on well in the straight for a ten lengths win over He Rock's

Afterwards Walsh stated “he's not a bad to miler and jumped great although he might like the ground a bit nicer. He'll probably go for handicaps next.”
