Mia Mento is set to step into Pattern company next having been bought by Phoenix Thoroughbred Limited following her debut victory at Leopardstown last month.

Trainer Tom Mullins will continue to take care of the filly for the rest of the season and is looking to run her in the Group Three Round Tower Stakes at the Curragh at the end of the month, possibly followed by the Blenheim Stakes at Fairyhouse on September 24.

She was taken out of the Keeneland Phoenix Stakes at the 48-hour final declaration stage, a race Phoenix Thoroughbreds have a leading fancy in Advertise.

“Phoenix bought her and are leaving her with me for her two-year-old career, so it’s great. Hopefully she’ll keep progressing for them,” said Mullins.

“She’ll probably go for the Round Tower and we’ll see how we are after that, but her obvious target then would be the Blenheim in Fairyhouse at the end of September.

“She’s come on a lot for her run. We’re very pleased with her.”
