After winning the first on Egyptian Warrior Robbie Power doubled up in the feature race, the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Captain Christy Rated Novice Chase, as partnered the Colm Murphy trained Presenting Beara to an all the way win.

The six-year-old, who is owned by Winning Ways Solar Syndicate, got off the mark over fences on his sixth attempt at Kilbeggan in August and he was sent off the 7/2 third choice of punters to follow-up here.

Given a confident ride by Power he jumped well throughout and was ridden out on the run-in to see off the challenge of Bose Ikard by half a length.

The runner-up, who was sent off the 7/4 favourite, wasn’t helped by a slow jump at the last and he was closing on the winner all the way to the line.

Colm Murphy said afterwards: “I'm delighted with that. The conditions of the race suited him off his mark and he seems to be improving.

"He gets that three miles well and relishes every yard. He's in the Munster National and we'll have a look at that.

"His problem was he was over-jumping but he's getting more economical and more experienced. He's only young and will hopefully improve again."
