Miss Power showed the benefit of her debut outing at Dundalk last month by leading home a 1-2 for trainer Eddie Lynam in the Kells Maiden at Navan.

The Zebedee filly finished behind the more experienced pair Grainne’s Dream and A Likely Story on the Polytrack less than a fortnight ago but turned that form on its head here.

Robbie Downey produced the 7/1 chance with a tremendous burst of speed from off the pace on the outer, leading 150 yards out and striding clear.

Newcomer Magic Bear kept on well in pleasing fashion to snatch the runner-up spot from the front-running A Likely Story.

The 15/8 favourite Grainne’s Dream could find no extra from well over a furlong out finishing seventh.

Downey said, “Eddie told me to take my time, get her organised underneath me, and ride it from there.

“She showed a nice turn of foot, did it well, and is a nice filly.”
