Presenting Point provided Mallow trainer Eoghan O’Grady with a welcome change of luck when successful in the Lady’s Cove Handicap Chase at Tramore.

The Presenting gelding was runner-up in a couple of point-to-points earlier this year and was sent off a 9/2 chance on the back of another second to All The Chimneys in a handicap chase at Thurles a fortnight ago.

Willie Austin again provided the chief threat here in the shape of Crack On Corrie but the 5/2 favourite appeared to be giving best when making a slight mistake at the final fence.

Presenting Point made most and kept on well on the short run-in to beat that rival by three and three quarter lengths to put rider Phillip Enright in the top ten among this season’s jump jockeys on the 22 winner mark.

Top-weight It’s Only A Number was a further five lengths away in third, with Motcomb Street in fourth.

O'Grady said, "I'm delighted to get that. He had a good run the last day and the step-up in trip today probably helped him. Phillip gave him a nice positive ride from the front and it happened nicely for him.

"Phillip kind of made up his own mind down at the start. No one wanted to go on, so he went on. I'd say he would have been happier with a lead.

"There is a race at Thurles before Christmas that he could go for, it's over three miles. He could go to Limerick over Christmas either or come back here maybe on New Year's Day."
