Mill Quest justified favourtism in the Belvedere House, Garden & Park Handicap Chase to give Gordon Elliott a double at Kilbeggan tonight and his twelfth winner of the week.

The Milan mare proved very game under Davy Russell in the contest, run over just shy of two-and-a-half miles.

She looked under pressure chasing the front-running Thecraicisninety after the second last but stuck to her guns and got on top close home to record a length-and-a-quarter win.

It was an eighth career victory for the nine-year-old who was covered recently.

“She jumped really well and battled it out well. Maybe she didn't mind the little bit of juice,” said Russell.

“It's beautiful ground and credit to Kilbeggan. She's after being covered so I'm not sure about plans.”

Elliott had also struck earlier with Arctic Sofia in the handicap hurdle.
