Quite Subunctious held on at 14/1 in the first split of the 10 furlong handicap at Navan.
The four-year-old filly tracked Arcland and moved to the head of affairs in the final three furlongs.
She was ridden to assert coming to the final furlong and the couple of lengths she took out of the pursuers served her well as she held on by a neck from fast-finishing Shoofly (6/1). Lady Rosebud was a neck back in third at 11/2 and she was two and a quarter lengths ahead of The Lady's Bid (50/1) who made eye-catching late progress.
Trainer Keith Clarke said: "It's a long time coming with this filly but she's always shown that she was a good filly.
“Things worked out great today. It was a proper good galloping track and she sees it out well. She's probably better at a mile-and-a-half.
“It's been a special day. It was my father's mass as it's been over a year since we lost him and it's all kind of happened today.
“It's been a while without a winner. There have been a few things going wrong with the horses, they just haven't been right, and it's great to break it with this filly.
“They are great owners and Sean Toal has been very loyal and patient.
“She was getting into Bellewstown last week but I'd rather go to a good galloping track with her and it's worked out well thank God and Declan (McDonogh) gave her a peach.
“Hopefully we're turning a corner and I'm looking forward to what's around the corner. Something good is coming.”
