The Gordon Elliott-trained Rosie Revenue prevailed after a gruelling duel on the run-in to land the 2m7f mares handicap hurdle at Downpatrick.

Tiger Bay Lady kicked for home before the second last but was joined by Rosie Revenue over the final flight.

2/1 favourite Thanks For Tea was staying on in third when crashing out at the last.

It was left to Tiger Bay Lady and Rosie Revenue to battle it out and the later got on top up the hill, under Luke Dempsey, to record a half-length success at odds of 9/1.

The winner was stepping up today having been well held in four previous outings.

Dempsey said afterwards: "She stays all day. She was lazy in front and I had plenty left. She won well."
