Rodriguez caused a 14/1 upset in the Xerox (Europe) Limited Maiden at Dundalk tonight, scoring for trainer Charlie Swan and jockey Declan McDonogh.

The 68 rated son of High Chaparral stayed on well inside the final furlong to eventually defeat 9/4f Jacksonslady by a length and a half.

Afterwards McDonogh said “I would say a mile and a half would be no problem to Rodriguez. Charlie (Swan) said he would like the surface and he was spot on. I couldn't fault him and he has a good attitude.”
