Seismic held on gamely, under in-form pilot Wayne Lordan, to claim the 1m6f handicap at Tramore in a driving finish.

The 11/4 favourite was produced to lead two furlongs out, claiming long-time leader King High

He was all out in the closing stages, however, as both Everything Zain and Invincible Don finished to good effect.

Gordon Elliott's charge hung on by a neck to follow-up his victory at Clonmel earlier in the month.

“He was probably a little unlucky on his first couple of runs for us. Maybe things didn't work out and maybe it was wrong instructions by the trainer. Wayne's after giving him a couple of good rides so it's great," said the winning trainer afterwards.

“He's a grand horse and hopefully the handicapper won't be too hard on him. He jumps hurdles well and is still in my colours – so he's for sale.

“It's not easy getting lads to buy them these days but I think he's going to pick up more races.

"He enjoyed the ground and he might go for a maiden hurdle in Perth next week."

Lordan added: “They went a good gallop. He's a little bit lazy and I got after him a bit soon in case something quickened up and got away from me. He was there a little too soon and did pull up a bit in front.

“They came at him late but it felt like he picked up when they joined him. He's a horse going the right way.”
