The Mouse Morris trained Baily Green under regular rider David Casey, completed a remarkable seventh consecutive win in the three runner Grade 3 Paddy Power Text 51465 EBF Novice Chase at Cork today.

The son of King's Theatre failed to win in eight attempts since his maiden hurdle win in 2012 but has found his true vocation over fences. Although seemingly a little off the top level over fences, Baily Green has mopped up everything put in front of him since May and gave away 8lbs to two rivals today.

Baily Green went on from Laganbank from the fifth last fence and stayed on well to hold Tofino Bay which never travelled throughout, by a length and a half.

Morris later revealed “I had his hind shoes taken off him and had him left out in a field after he won the last day! He was knocking down the door to be doing something though and I had to bring him in again!

“He'll let me know when he wants to stop but in the meantime could run at Punchestown in a few weeks time in a Grade 3 over two miles. Either way I'm not going to abuse him as he has done so much already.”

Sea Of Thunder (change in ground) was a notable non-runner in the race.
