Denis Hogan's Bahlwan rattled home down the outer to take the five-furlong handicap in Down Royal by a length and a half.

The four-year-old gelding kept on well after hitting the front in the final 100 yards to prevail at 14/1. Sweetest Taboo had attempted to make all but had to settle for second at 15/2. She was a nose in front of Gopsies Daughter (9/1).

Jockey Joey Sheridan said: "He did (come home strongly), he jumped alright and sat in behind the leaders and picked up well the very minute I asked him.

"Denis' (Hogan) horses are flying in both codes and long may it continue. He did it well in the end.

"He is giving me plenty of opportunities. That's four winners for me now."
