Ojinjintka got off the mark on her sixth start, as she took the International Hotel Killarney Handicap.

The Harry Rogers trained daughter of Myboycharlie ran well to finish third at Roscommon on her last start, but proved easy to back today.

As short as 10/3 last night, the bay filly opened on-course at 5s before going off a 6/1 chance under Pat Smullen.

Fitted with cheekpieces for the first time she was settled behind the leaders, and was fourth on the approach to the straight.

She was soon pushed along on the outer, and was ridden to lead over a furlong out, keeping on well in the closing stages to hold off the fast finishing Dignified Air by a neck.

The runner-up was returned at 40/1 under Niall McCullagh for John Murphy, while the 11/4 favourite Greenpanda who attempted to make all, was three parts of a length back in third for Declan McDonogh and Gavin Cromwell.

Rogers, who trains the winner for his wife Mary, said afterwards: "I thought she was going to give it away as she was idle in front. She wants it soft and just got away with it on the ground.

"Hopefully she will go to Listowel."
