The Group One-placed So Perfect heads the quality entries for the Group 3 Killavullan Stakes at Leopardstown on Saturday.

Aidan O’Brien has won eleven runnings of the penultimate group race of the season in Ireland and has another strong hand headed by So Perfect who finished an excellent third to Fairyland in the Group 1 Cheveley Park Stakes at Newmarket last month.

Prior to that, she chased home the subsequent Dewhurst Stakes second Advertise in the Phoenix Stakes at the Curragh in August.

The other notable entries include the Joseph O’Brien-trained No Needs Never who produced a very smart effort to account for Old Glory in the Listed Star Appeal Stakes at Dundalk earlier in the month.

Meanwhile, Patrick Prendergast has entered last weekend’s Limerick maiden winner Could Be King whose previous form includes a good fourth in the Group 2 Futurity Stakes at the Curragh.

“I put him to have a look although it’s probably only 50-50 that he will run. It was heavy ground at Limerick and hard work so we will just have to see how is later in the week,” said Prendergast.

“I do think that he has a future at this level and he did run well in the Futurity Stakes a couple of runs back and that form does look very solid but we will just have to see how much Limerick took out of him.”

The Killavullan was won by subsequent classic winners Grey Swallow and Footstepsinthesand in 2003 and 2004.
