Sole Power is the new favourite for the Prix de l'Abbaye at Longchamp on Sunday after Tiggy Wiggy was all but ruled out of a trip to Paris.

The Richard Hannon-trained juvenile was a brilliant winner of Saturday's Cheveley Park Stakes at Newmarket, adding to similarly dominant victories in the Super Sprint at Newbury and in the Lowther Stakes at York.

Although she featured amongst Tuesday's confirmations for the Abbaye, Richard Hannon snr, now assistant to his son, said: "I believe that (Tiggy Wiggy not running on Sunday) is the case.

"I know it is highly unlikely, anyway.

"She came home a little bit tired (from Newmarket), but she's bright this morning."

Muthmir, William Haggas' Portland Handicap winner, does not feature and is instead set to head for a Listed race at Ascot on Saturday.

Another horse not making the cross-Channel journey is Henry Candy's star sprinter Music Master.

Winner of the Hackwood Stakes at Newbury and last seen finishing third in the Sprint Cup at Haydock, the four-year-old's racing shoes have been hung up for the season.

Candy said: "He's not going to run on Sunday and he's finished for the year. He's had a good season and he's going on his holidays now."
