Some Tikket proved a class act as he sauntered home to open his account over jumps in great style in the two-and-a-half mile maiden hurdle at Navan.

Robbie McNamara made all on the 4/6 hotpot and he had his rivals at work jumping the second last.

McNamara didn't have to move on the Tikkanen gelding as he cruised clear approaching the last and he went on to record an effortless 11-length success.

Fergiethelegend came through to grab the runner-up spot without ever looking a danger.

The Dermot Weld-trained winner was adding to his bumper success at the course earlier this month.

“He won the way you'd expect him to win and I think we'll have a crack at either the Grade 2 at Fairyhouse or the Grade 1 at Punchestown over two-and-a-half miles,” said Weld.

“We'll see how he comes out of this which will make up our mind up whether to go to Fairyhouse or wait for Punchestown.

“He's a very nice horse and the way he's worked I'd say he wants much better ground. He's also capable of winning on the Flat.”

Looking ahead to the Flat Weld said:- “The Flat team are coming along slowly as we've not been able to use the grass on the Curragh.

It's not different to anywhere else in the country – everywhere has been so wet.”
