The Supreme Horse Racing Club has strengthened its team by recruiting a filly from the family of the great Annie Power.

A daughter of Black Sam Bellamy out of a mare who has already produced a Stakes winner in Lady Pimpernel, the four-year-old has been bred by the wife of trainer Willie Mullins, Jackie.

Her second dam, Anno Luce, is the dam of the stable's Champion Hurdle-winning mare and connections are excited to see what the youngster can do.

Racing manager Steve Massey said: "When we were given the opportunity to add a filly from the family of Annie Power to the team, we didn't hesitate.

"She'll start off in bumpers and we hope to have her ready to run in around six weeks' time.

"Shares are available."

It promises to be an exciting season for the Supreme Horse Racing Club, with Hennessy Gold Cup favourite Avant Tout and unbeaten mare Airlie Beach among an increased team of around 40 horses.

Glorious Legend, a three-year-old winner on the Flat for Ed Walker, is the another new addition.

Massey said: "We think there is a lot of improvement in him and we think he'll prove a really good acquisition to run both on the Flat and over hurdles.

"To have Avant Tout as a leading contender for the Hennessy is amazing and if Airlie Beach can continue to improve she could be anything.

"Listen Dear is an exciting mare for novice chases, Open Eagle goes chasing and our club star Pique Sous has recovered from injury and will hopefully have an all-weather campaign this winter.

"We think we also have some really nice novice hurdlers and a few smart bumper horses.

"Willie is never in a rush with his horses in the early part of the season, but things will kick up a gear in the next few weeks and hopefully it will be an exciting winter for us all."
